Make a statement | Upcycling of shirt #12

How to make your old t-shirt into a statement t-shirt? A green statement? Well, we are collecting & sharing 100 ideas to do that! This is the #100greenstatements challenge by FOR KEEPS, and this week we teamed up with fashion illustrator Michelle from Michelle Amo Illustrations. You can read more about her in the Meet the Maker blog. Finally we can show how she turned shirt #12 into a statement piece!

How did you make the creation?

“I used acrylic paint and started painting on the T-shirt. It’s simple like that.”

What did you make, and why?

“My love for statement pieces started at the age of 5, but never truly ended. I made a fashion wardrobe illustration: shoes, models, hair everything that reminded me of fashion. Colourful, bold and a little bit shouty.”

The making of

So, the part you def want to see: The making of! Michelle made an amazing video, showing the white shirt, how she painted it & the result! Check it out!

We will add more shots of the amazing result later this week!
